Wes Craven's New Nightmare Is Lit

The renowned scarred monster Freddy Krueger captures Heather Langenkamp's son Dylan as she contemplates remaking Nightmare on Elm Street with Wes Craven. To rescue Dylan's slasher movies soul, Langenkamp must face Freddy's evil ghost.

New Line Cinema hired Wes Craven to breathe new life into the Nightmare on Elm Street series. He determined that the series was absurd, hard to follow, and that Freddy was no longer terrifying. As a result, he expanded on the concept he had initially envisioned for the third Nightmare on Elm Street picture, putting the film in the real world with movie-to-reality story strands and a revamped Freddy. In my youth, I considered it absurd and incomprehensible, and I still do. However, things are different now...
